Erdogan approved the extension of Turkish soldiers' stay in Azerbaijan

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkiye's President, has approved a draft law that would extend the Turkish military's mandate in the Turkiye-Russia Joint Monitoring Center for another year, APA reports.

Erdogan signed an order in this respect.

The order was published in the "Resmi Gazete".

Notably, the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye discussed and accepted a draft law to prolong the mandate of Turkish military personnel in the Turkiye-Russia Joint Monitoring Center for another year.

Recalled that the Turkish Parliament granted the Turkish Armed Forces a one-year authorization to send troops to Azerbaijan in November 2020. The Russian-Turkish Joint Monitoring Center for Ceasefire Monitoring is located in Agdam.
