A book “Children – Innocent Victims of War” has been published in Azerbaijan in order to inform the international community about the atrocities and crimes committed by Armenian armed forces against the Azerbaijani people, including children in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region and surrounding districts.
The book was complied by the State Committee of Azerbaijan for Family, Women and Children Affairs on the basis of real facts and official information about children who died, went missing, lost their parents and became disabled as a result of the war (certain documents and pictures could not be reflected in the book because of being lost due to the destruction of regional and private archives by Armenian occupiers during the war).
The book also contains the testimonies of eyewitnesses of Armenian atrocities.
The English version of the book provides information on children affected during the ceasefire period, as well as during the April battles.
The State Security Service, the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, the State Land and Cartography Committee, as well as executive authorities of the occupied districts closely took part in the publication of the book.
