650,000 trees to be planted in Azerbaijan today upon Mehriban Aliyeva's initiative

650 000 trees will be planted in Azerbaijan today, APA reports.

Land preparation works have already been completed in the planting areas, holes have been digged, tree seedlings, which will be planted, have been brought to the areas.

The campaign of planting 650,000 trees which will be held on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva to mark the 650th birth anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi, will cover all regions of the country.

Tree planting campaign, aimed at promotion the legacy of Imadaddin Nasimi in international environment, immortalization of his memory, and demonstration of Azerbaijan’s literary and cultural heritage, will be joined by public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, and young employees of public and private bodies.
