Baku Metro resumes work

Measures, aimed at easing the special quarantine regime, applied in the Republic of Azerbaijan since on August 5, 2020, due to coronavirus infection, are continued step-by-step on different fields, Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

Passenger transportation by Baku metro will be resumed from 06:00 a.m on September 14, 2020, in accordance with sanitary-epidemiological conditions.

As the public transport will not function on Saturdays and Sundays until September 30, 2020, the passenger transportation activity of the metro is also suspended from 00:00 a.m. on September 19 until 06:00 a.m. on September 21 and from 00:00 a.m. on September 26 until 06:00 a.m. on September 28.

In order to prevent spread of coronavirus infection according to “Methodological instructions regarding prophylaxis of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in public transport”, to protect health of passengers, relevant measures have been taken on territory of the metro.

Taking into consideration the existing sanitary and epidemiological situation and in order to prevent fresh virus infection cases, the citizens are requested to comply with requirements of the existing quarantine regime and medical and prophylactic rules.
