CMO chairman lends clarity to not issuing fatwa on the occasion of Eid al-Adha

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has lent clarity to not issuing a fatwa on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, CMO told APA.

Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade noted that worship places are temporarily closed in order to protect human life, the holiest value created by Almighty God and the Hajj pilgrimages has also been postponed due to the pandemic's isolation measures.

“Therefore, certain specific differences on the agenda for this year regarding Eid prayers and Eid al-Adha worships should be taken into account. The clerics were told to convey these features to the local people.”
