"The affiliation of medical enterprises with ministry or other institution is not an important factor", said Deputy Minister of Health Rahim Aliyev in his statement to journalists, APA reports.

He noted that the free health service hadn’t pay off: "The free-of-charge health service is a bid burden and is an extremely big problem for the government. In the world’s developed countries people get treated at the expense of the compulsory medical insurance. Irrespective of the affiliation of medical enterprises with that or other institution, the quality of the health services rendered to people at the expense of the medical insurance will improve".

R.Aliyev said the ministry had always fulfilled and would continue to fulfill the government’s health policy.

He stressed that the transfer of medical enterprises under the control of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance in the phased manner would be continued during 2020.
