First Vice-Presidents of ANAS elected - UPDATED

The result of the voting has been announced at the annual meeting of ANAS, APA reports.

The results have been announced by the chairman of Accounts Commission Urkhan Alekperov. He noted that according to the results of the voting, Isa Habibbayli and Ibrahim Guliyev have been elected as first vice presidents of ANAS with 55 votes.

Note that Isa Habbibayli was nominated for the first vice president on humanities and social sciences, while on exact and natural sciences, Ibrahim Guliyev was nominated at the annual meeting.

To establish two First Vice-Presidents posts (in the humanities and the social sciences, and in the natural sciences and exact sciences) is proposed at Academy on the annual general meeting of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, APA reports.

President of the Academy Ramiz Mehdiyev made this proposal while his speech.

Isa Habbibayli has been nominated for first vice president on humanities and social sciences, while on exact and natural sciences, Ibrahim Guliyev has been nominated at the assembly. The suggestion has been accepted and the candidacy of those persons has been approved and secret ballot was announced.

A break for the vote has been announced.
