“Maternal and infant mortality rate in Azerbaijan is higher than it could be," Representative of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan Hande Harmancı told APA.
According to her, as a result of works done in Azerbaijan in recent 10 years, the mortality level of mothers and babies has decreased.
“However the number should be decreased much more. Rate of maternal and infant mortality will be dropped by strengthening primary medical services. We are working in this regard together”, she added.
