On March 29, based on instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Emergency Situations, colonel-general Kamaleddin Heydarov and head of the State Border Service, colonel-general Elchin Guliyev  attended the near-border territory in order to meet the citizens arrived in the country via highway from the Russian Federation and having been subjected to necessary sanitary and quarantine measures, the MES and SBS told APA.

At the meeting with the citizens kept under quarantine conditions which is being held at the present moment, the detailed information has been provided on the preventative measures implemented in order to fight against spread of coronavirus infection under Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's, the significance of these measures for protection of people’s health and the importance of compliance with requirements of quarantine regime have been explained.

The conditions of citizens’ stay under quarantine regime and the state of their nutrition have been visually inspected, an inquiry has been made into the problems faced by them, their requests and appeals have been heard, and the measures have been taken for solution of the raised issues in a short time. 

The extra premises allocated for persons that will be quarantined and the conditions in those premises have been examined, the works having been done for ensuring security of citizens and personnel and protection of their health have been reviewed, and necessary instructions have been given. 

The condition of organization of quarantine regime measures at the state border crossing point, the issues of evacuation to quarantine zone of the persons arriving in the country have been reviewed, it was noted that the joint activity has been organized at high level, while relevant instruction have been given regarding further improvement of cooperation between concerned state agencies in this area.
