“Turkey’s territory is seismically active region. There are several breaks. The recent earthquakes showed high level of activity in the territory”, said head of Information Department of the Republican Seismic Survey Center
of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Vusala Rafiggizi, APA reports.
According to her, the earthquake does not have any effects on Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijani territory is also situated in a seismic region. However breaks in Azerbaijani territory are related to neither Turkey, nor other neighboring countries. Sometimes felt or unfelt tremors occur in seismic regions. However as there is not an exact earthquake forecast, nobody can unambiguously predict whether earthquake will be observed or not”, she noted.
