“In many countries the number of people died from coronavirus is equal to the number of total coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan”, said today Ramin Bayramli, chairman of Board of Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), at the press conference of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

R. Bayramli said that 4-18% of death is observed among infected people in the world: “However, death rate in Azerbaijan is lower. It is related to the readiness of healthcare system. In recent days, infection cases are increasing in some countries such as Germany, Italy. Use of mask is mandatory in some cities of Turkey. Strict measures are being applied in China again. People’s health is in the center of the policy of Azerbaijan, as we want to provide progress of the disease to be wavy. Prevention of the disease will not be absolutely possible by applying quarantine regime. Prevention of the disease will be possible by discovering the vaccine and medicine of the virus. Today they don’t exist. Serious researches have being conducted in nearly 10 centers so far, research of two of them has passed to the second stage. However, although the vaccine is found, new vaccines may be needed for new stamps of the virus every year. There is a probability that the virus will mutate and remove from our lives, but it is not so real.”

Chair of the TABIB Board noted that condition in several countries is not as it is presented: “Threat is very dangerous. If the disease improves not with wavy, but increasing dynamics, healthcare system can not cope with it and more death cases will be observed. The purpose of the done measures is to achieve spread of the disease with not increasing, by a wavy line.”
