TABIB: Trials of plasma from recovered Covid-19 patients to critically ill patients begun

“Globally, more than 3 million people have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while more than 234 thousand people died of the disease”, said Head of Board of TABIB Ramin Bayramli at a press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

He said that it is the indicator of in which speed the problem continues: “We follow the processes in the world. Diagnostic examinations in our country are being continued in all regions. The automated laboratory has been installed in Sumgayit this week. All big cities have been provided with automated labs.”

R. Bayramli has noted that the main criterion is to be involved in early treatment: “We have all diagnostic opportunities. The treatments are started on time, and connection to ventilators is prevented. Obtaining of plasma of recovered people and applying to critically ill people have been started. The examination of donors has been already carried out with a special programs. From tomorrow, plasmas will be taken from primary donors, certified, and applied to critically ill patients.”
