Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus during the Extraordinary Summit of the Turkic Council through videoconferencing has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"I would like to express gratitude to all the member states and partners who have supported our COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan. Up to $ 800 million in financial support has been provided. In particular, I thank the government and people of Azerbaijan for their contribution of $ 5 million," Mr. Ghebreyesus said at the Extraordinary Summit of the Turkic Council through videoconferencing.
WHO Director-General noted that Turkey's support for its European neighbors by sending the necessary medical supplies is commendable.
