The initial version of the draft law on “Higher education” is already ready, Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Science and Education Isa Habibbayli told APA.
He noted that the Ministry of Education has prepared proposals for inclusion in the new draft law: “The Ministry of Education will present the package of proposals to Committee on Science and Education of the Parliament of Azerbaijan soon. We had held verbal negotiations on this issue. However, we are waiting for it officially now.”
The chairman of the Committee said that admissible variant of the draft law on “Higher Education” will be discussed in the first reading at the plenary session of Azerbaijani Parliament to be held in October.
Note that the draft law on "Higher education" has been included in the legislative work plan of the 2019 autumn session of the Milli Majlis.
