Agency chairman: Work on the assessment of mineral resources in the liberated areas is completed

“Work on the assessment of mineral resources in the East-Zangezur and Karabakh economic regions is being completed,” Chairman of the Board of Geological Exploration Agency Ali Aliyev said at the briefing held for media, APA reports.

According to him, as these areas were under occupation for 30 years, it was impossible to estimate the resources: “After the victory, our first activity was directed to estimate the mineral raw materials resources. The work is almost completed. Our purpose is to determine the scale of the damage inflicted on our country during the period of occupation. This damage will be submitted to relevant institutions and will serve to open a specific legal compensation case in the future.”
