ICRC facilitated transfer of 36 people to Armenia and of 59 people from Armenia across Lachin road

On January 30, the ICRC, in its role of a neutral intermediary, facilitated the transfer of 19 people across the Lachin road to Armenia and of 17 persons from Armenia, who will join their families on the respective sides, said Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

"In total, the ICRC facilitated the transfer of 36 people across Lachin road to Armenia and of 59 people from Armenia, who joined their families on the respective sides. The ICRC facilitated this in its role of a neutral intermediary and stands ready to move forward with other cases too, in agreement and discussion with the sides and the families.

Since December 19, the ICRC also carried out 17 medical evacuations across the Lachin road in its role as a neutral humanitarian intermediary and managed to ensure the safe passage of 57 patients together with their accompaniers, as well as the delivery of medicines, baby formula and food supplies for health structures.

We stand ready to act as a neutral intermediary and assist in addressing humanitarian issues," said Ilaha Huseynova.
