At the invitation of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev, the delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon paid a working visit to Azerbaijan Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
Delegation visited the Alley of Honor and laid a wreath in front of the grave of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijani people, the architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, and also visited the grave of the outstanding ophthalmologist scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The guests also visited the Alley of Martyrs and commemorated the children of the Motherland who lost their lives in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, discussions were held on the effectiveness of mutual activities within the framework of international organizations, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
In addition, the delegation held a meeting with the heads of structural institutions of the Prosecutor General's Office in the new administrative building. The guests were given extensive information about the activities of the prosecutor's offices of our country.
The delegation also visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, got acquainted with the exhibits reflecting the life and activities of the outstanding statesman, and they were informed about the "Surrealism is me" exhibition of Salvador Dali's works displayed in the Center and the car collection exhibition.
Later, the guests got acquainted with the Shirvanshahs Palace Complex and Maiden's Castle operating within the "Icherisheher" Museum Center, as well as other historical and architectural monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Also, the guests watched the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix held in Baku.
