About 469,000 foreigners visit Azerbaijan in the first five months of this year

In January-May 2022, 468,100 foreigners and stateless persons visited the Republic of Azerbaijan from 157 countries, or 2.2 times more than in the same period last year, APA reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

24.8% of visitors came from Turkey, 24.7% from the Russian Federation, 13.8% from Iran, 5.6% from Georgia, 3.7% from Saudi Arabia, 2.8% from the United Arab Emirates, 2.7 percent from Ukraine, 2.4 percent from each from India and Pakistan, 1.7 percent from Kazakhstan, 1.3 percent from Kuwait, 1.2 percent from the United Kingdom, and 12.9 percent from other countries. 79.7% of the visitors were men, while 20.3% were women.
