Azerbaijan launchs criminal case on crash of military helicopter

The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has launched a criminal case over the helicopter crash, APA reports.

"A military helicopter of the State Border Service crashed in the Khizi region. As a result, 14 people died and two were injured.

The scene was inspected with the participation of the leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office.

A criminal case under Article 352.2 of the Criminal Code (Violation of Flight Rules or Flight Preparation Rules caused the death of two or more people through negligence) and other articles was initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office, and the investigation was taken under special control by the Prosecutor General.

Intensive investigation is underway by prosecutors at the scene," said the Prosecutor General's Office.
