Hyundai suspends another plant due to chip shortage

Hyundai Motor Company announced on Friday that it will halt operations at another plant in South Korea due to semiconductor chip shortage, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The Asan plant, the manufacturer of the Grandeur and Sonata sedans, will be suspended from April 12-13, a company spokesman told Yonhap.

Work at the carmaker's Ulsan facility was halted on April 7 and is expected to resume on April 15.
