"We, as Turkey, are still support peace today," the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Mustafa Shentop during a speech at a panel on "The Second Karabakh War and the war crimes of Armenia,", APA reports.
According to him, US President Joe Biden's statement on the events of 1915 would not benefit Armenia either.
Stressing that Turkey is very strong today, the speaker said that his country is very comfortable in this matter.
“We reject this slander to our country. What has changed in 2021? Has new information been obtained about the events of 1915? Is Biden a specialist on the First World war? Answers to these questions are known to everyone. This is a political decision. Turkish President Rejeb Tayyip Erdogan has given a proposal to the Armenian side on the establishment of the independent joint commission in 2005 when he was still Prime Minister. However, Armenia has not given a positive answer to our call” said M. Shentop.
