Oil transportation via Baku-Supsa pipeline slightly decreased

In January- June of this year, 2 118,6 thousand tonnes of oil was transported via Baku-Supsa Western Export Pipeline, which is 0.01% less in comparison to the same period of the previous year, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

In January-June of 2020, 2 121,1 thousand tonnes of oil were transported through this pipeline.

The Western Export Pipeline transports oil produced in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea to world markets via Georgia.

Crude oil is loaded onto tankers at Georgia's Supsa terminal and sent to European markets via the Bosphorus.
