SOCAR Georgia Gas purchases 94 buildings, belonging to state

SOCAR Georgia Gas Company has purchased 94 buildings, belonging to Georgia in exchange for 24 177 326 Laris (about USD 8.4 million), APA’s local bureau reports.

The decree on purchase of 94 buildings, belonging to the state, was signed by the Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze on behalf of the state.

According to the decree, under the 3rd paragraph of the 18th article of the Law of Georgia on “State Property”, the real estate is directly sold to SOCAR Georgia Gas LLC in exchange for 24 177 326 Laris. The National Agency of State Property under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia will provide the implementation of measures, considered in legislation in order to carry out the law.

Noted that the company can carry out payment for 18 years into the Georgian state budget.

The buildings, belonging to the state, are generally located in Zestafoni, Kaspi, and Lanchkhuti regions.
