Azan to be remade with loudspeakers in Azerbaijan

Commenting on the ban of loudspeakers in raising azan Haji Allahshukur Pashazada said the head of Baku Executive Office Hajibala Abutalibov requested him and proposed to make live azans in mosques. According to Sheikh, heads of some regions took the ban on the loudspeakers in mosques without consulting with him. “But this decision caused concern of Azerbaijani believers.â€
Allahshukr Pashazada today met with head of state Ilham Aliyev and talked on the issue. He said President was unaware of the issue. Pashazada said religion-state relations are at high level in Azerbaijan. According to him, there are some problems regarding the times of azans in different Azerbaijan mosques. He also noted since today azan will be made lower in the mosques situated near public buildings, schools. The loudspeakers will be used in the places with fewer mosques. /APA/
