Manchester United and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly Inter’s first choice to replace Mauro Icardi this summer, ONA reports citing Football Italia.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter have decided to sell Icardi and believe Lukaku has the ‘age and potential’ to become their new No 9.

United paid €85m to sign the 25-year-old in the summer of 2017, but the website claims he is now worth closer to €50m after two seasons that are considered to have been below-par.

The former Everton hitman is also represented by Federico Pastorello, who already has Nerazzurri winger Antonio Candreva on his books.

However, TMW warns Lukaku would have to take a hit on his €10m salary to join the Beneamata.

Furthermore, the Red Devils may refuse to negotiate with Inter after they failed to bring in Ivan Perisic last summer.
