The 10th Gabala International Music Festival has today kicked off.
The festival is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Gilan Holding.
At 6:00 p.m. in the hall of chamber music of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center in Gabala, the first concert of the festival took place within the framework of the project “Support to Youth”.
The concert featured works of Azerbaijani and foreign composers performed by young musicians, APA’s local bureau reports.
The project “Support to Youth” was launched by Director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic after Muslum Magomayev, People's Artist Murad Adigozalzade and is supported by People’s Artist Farhad Badalbeyli.
Fifteen talented musicians, who are the participants of the project, presented an interesting concert program.
The symphonic orchestra of the students of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli is scheduled to give a concert on the open stage at 9:00 p.m. today.
A solemn opening ceremony of the 10th Gabala International Music Festival is scheduled for July 31.
Musical groups from Azerbaijan, world-famous musicians, chamber and symphony orchestras, soloists and conductors will take part in the music festival, which will last until August 8.
