Shentop: “Although Biden uses term “genocide”, it will not have legal basis"

Chairman of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Shentop has stated his position whether the President of the USA Joe Biden will use the term “genocide” regarding events of 1915, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.

He said that if US President uses such a term, this will be accepted as a political statement and will not have a legal basis: “If the historical issues in Turkey are put forward by political decisions, Turkey also has time to make decisions that will cover a legislative session on American history. In this regard, one of the countries with the most embarrassing history is the United States,” noted M. Shentop.
