“Usually there are few observers in municipal elections compared to presidential and parliamentary elections”, said Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov, APA reports.
He noted that the CEC had already sent invitations to representatives of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council: “Because they usually observe in municipal elections. Their reviews are perceived on the international stage at the proper level."
The CEC Chairman noted that invitations were sent to the CEC of 15 countries: “In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code, we can also apply on behalf of non-governmental organizations if they want to invite observers. I believe that there will be enough observers in municipal elections. ”
