Senators and deputies from various Italian political parties made statements about the death of three Azerbaijani civilians, including two journalists, as a result of an explosion of an anti-tank mine while they were on duty in the Kalbajar region, and the injury of four civilians, APA reports citing Azerbaijani Embassy to Italy.
The statements of the parliamentarians were published on their social network profiles and in the Italian media.
They strongly condemned Armenia's failure to provide maps of mined areas of Azerbaijan and demanded that the maps be handed over to Azerbaijan immediately.
Note that on the morning of June 4, 2021, a vehicle carrying members of the film crew hit an anti-tank mine on the road in Susuzlug village of Kalbajar region. As a result of the explosion, two members of the film crew, operator of Azerbaijan Television Siraj Abishov and correspondent of the Azerbaijan State News Agency Maharram Ibrahimov, as well as representative of the district executive power Arif Aliyev were killed and four people were injured.
