Azerbaijan carries out workings on rebuilding the railway network destroyed by Armenia, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the panel on European Union-Azerbaijan relations at the Media Club in Brussels, APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.

According to him, Azerbaijan has agreed to allow Armenia to join the network.

Minister noted that the construction of the railway network will play a role in building communications among Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Russia, and Armenia, as well as be useful for the East-West transport corridor between Asia and Europe.

J. Bayramov emphasized that not only certain countries, but all countries in the region will be able to benefit from this project. Minister added that Azerbaijan intends to contribute to increase cooperation in the South Caucasus: "Unfortunately, we have not received an accurate answer from Armenia on this issue."

Azerbaijani FM noted that some positive signals had been received from the trilateral Working Group of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia: "We hope that Armenia will take real steps to achieve concrete results in the implementation of these projects in the near future."
