“First of all, we would like to note that, Azerbaijan takes relevant measures, as a response to the recent provocations committed by the Armenian side. Thus as a response to the gathering of nearly 60 personel of Armenian Armed Forces in the direction of Garagol of Lachin region, on the road leading to positions of the Azerbaijani army, on November 9, shelling of the positions of Azerbaijani Army in Kalbajar region, by Armenian Armed Forces on November 13, as well as on the preparation for the next provocation of Armenian army by gathering in the direction of Lachin region of the borders of the two countries on November 14, the relevant measures were carried out by Azerbaijan, said the head of the press service of Azerbaijani MFA Leyla Abdullayeva while commenting on the statement of Armenian Prime minister Nikol Pashinyan, APA reports.
“We stress that Azerbaijani servicemen carry out their service duties in the sovereign territories of our country. We also remind that Armenian military-political leadership bears direct responsibility for the existing tension,” stressed the MFA official.
