Reportedly, as a result of the joint operational and investigative measures conducted by the State Security Service (SSS) and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the unlawful actions of senior officials of Coast Guard of State Border Service (SBS) of the Azerbaijan Republic have been prevented, APA reports citing the official website of SSS.
The deputy head of SBS, lieutenant general Naghiyev Afghan Veli, the high-rank military servicemen of the SBS and civil persons have been detained in the capacity of the suspected persons in the framework of the criminal case initiated into this incident at the Main Department for Fight against Corruption under the General prosecutor’s office.
Currently, investigative actions are being continued.
