Today, the online meeting of heads of committees for health affairs of member parliaments of the Turkic-speaking Countries’ Parliamentary Assembly (TURKPA) was held in videoconference format, the Press and public relation department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.
The meeting was dedicated to the topic of “COVID-19 pandemic: impacts and glimpse into future”.
The event was attended by chairmen of Committees for health affairs and members of parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and representatives of Secretariat of TURKPA. The meeting was moderated by chairman of Health, family, labor and social affairs committee of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly Recep Akdag.
In the opening part of the meeting, the chairmen of parliamentary committees, General secretary of TURKPA Altinbek Mamayusupov and deputy minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbayev made speeches. Then, the members of the committees made their comments on the topic.
