WHO: “Result of strict quarantine regime to be known in 10-14 days”

“The results of today's quarantine will appear in 10-14 days,” said Dr. Hande Harmanci, representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan, at the press conference of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to her, easing quarantine regime started from April 27 in Azerbaijan: “The number of infection cases which was 25 rise to 100 twelve days after April 27. Today there are more than 200 infection cases. As infection cases increase, the states are forced to take strict measures again. Those steps are also being taken in Azerbaijan. When the states lift restrictions the number of infection cases increase.”

Hande Harmanci noted that the world is in the first stage of the fight against the virus.
