Baku Court on Grave Crimes has completed the trial on the criminal case involving four persons who are accused of embezzling a facility worth approximately 300,000 manats.

According to the court verdict, Jeyran Rustamova and Reyhan Huseynova were each sentenced to 11 years in prison, Yashar Rasulov 9.5 years and Kamala Rustamova to 8 years.

The defendants deceived Gulnara Shukurova, Sakina Sadikhova, Bahar Aliyeva and Elshad Babayev by giving them money at interest and requiring them to pledge their own property. As a guarantee of the money they lent, the defendants got the above-mentioned persons’ houses registered in their names under a purchase agreement. As a result, Sakina Sadigova’s facility worth approximately AZN 300,000 was embezzled. She was promised mortgage loans in the amount of AZN 100,000. All documents were signed and she was said that she would take the money as soon as possible.

They faced charges under Article 178.3.2 (fraud on a large scale) of the Criminal Code.
