The Baku City Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case over the death of a patient at Grand Hospital in the city.
After undergoing an operation in the medical center on November 30 Ayshan Mirzayeva (born in 1997) sank into coma and died five days later, the press service of the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office told APA.
Prosecuting officers, accompanied by a forensic expert, have examined the body, and other necessary procedural actions have been taken.
A criminal case under Article 124.1 (murder on imprudence) of the Criminal Code has been launched.
A forensic examination is underway to determine the cause of the young woman’s death.
At the moment, highly qualified specialists from the Ministry of Health are also investigating the issue.
