Ten people suffer minor smoke inhalation after fire at warehouse of cosmetics factory in Baku

Ten people including one woman and nine men suffered minor smoke inhalation after a fire occurred at a warehouse of Gazelli cosmetics factory in Baku on Sept. 19, Liya Bayramova, spokesperson for the Health Ministry, told APA.

Those affected by the fire received first medical aid on the scene, according to the spokesperson.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire at the warehouse at 17:00pm.

Elena Sidorenko, spokesperson for Gazelli Group, dismissed via Facebook the reports of alleged deterioration of some people’s health as groundless.

“The fire caused by a short circuit was put out in a short period of time. Currently, there are no problems. During the accident, no harm was caused to the health of employees of the company and people nearby. Reports on alleged deterioration of some people’s health as a result of the accident do not reflect reality. The causes of the accident are being investigated. Further information will be provided,” she wrote.
