On March 22, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who is on an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, ONA reports citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of development of cooperation in the field of security, in the military, military-technical, military-educational spheres, in the fight against terrorism, combat training, organization of mutual visits at the level of expert groups, expansion of relations between all types of troops of the armies of the two countries, as well as other aspects of mutual interest.
