Two White House immigration policy aides are set to leave their posts as the Biden administration readies to introduce new border control measures after Title 42 ends, APA reports citing Politico.

According to the sources, Lise Clavel, deputy assistant to the president and senior adviser for migration will leave her position on March 1, while Leidy Perez-Davis, special assistant to the president for immigration, was asked to postpone her departure plans and is now expected to bid farewell in a few months.

The notice comes amid criticism coming from certain Democrats and immigrant advocates who claim that the latest policy, which impedes some immigrants from applying for asylum if they illegally cross the border or don't apply for safe harbor outside of the US, reflects former US President Donald Trump's mindset.
