The power utility, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, has announced the suspension of electricity supply to a number of provinces after unknown miscreants blew up two transmission towers, APA reports.

The DABS announced in a newsletter that late on Friday, the electricity supply to Kabul and 10 other provinces were cut off due to the explosion of two electricity pylons in the Taghma area of ​​southern Salang, Parwan province.

“Enemies have blown up two electricity pylons for the imported power supply in the Taghma area of ​​southern Salang, Parwan province, which has cut off electricity to Kabul and 10 other provinces,” the company said.

It quoted the company’s technical staff as saying that the towers had been blown up by a landmine, destroying both.

It added that the company’s technical teams have gone to the field to repair these towers. The company has called on all citizens to pay serious attention to the protection of electricity facilities and to prevent destructive attempts by informing local security officials.
