About 5 600 passenger cars produced in Azerbaijan in last five years

5 578 passenger cars have been produced in Azerbaijan in the last five years (2016-2020), APA-Economics reports citing the figures published by the State Statistics Committe.

The production of the passenger cars from 2016 to 2020 has increased by 7,2 times.

According to the calculations, in the reporting period, the highest figure on the production of the passenger cars has been recorded in 2019 (2 360 passenger cars), and the lowest figure has been recorded in 2017 (30 passenger cars).

Note that 1 949 passenger cars have been produced in Azerbaijan in 2020. The production of passenger cars in the country has decreased by 17,4% in comparison to 2019.

Recall that the decline in the production of passenger cars last year has been related to quarantine regime applied in the country within the framework of coronavirus pandemic. Thus, the production of passenger cars in the country has been canceled from April 2020. The production has been resumed only in June.
