Norway’s Equinor company has begun seismic survey (2D/3D) in the field of Ashrafi, Dan Ulduzu and Aypara located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, reliable source in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.
The survey work is carried out by Caspian Geophysical via the Gilavar geophysical vessel.
According to the source, although weather conditions may affect sea operations, the survey has already started and the agreement is being implemented.
Note that the survey will consist of a full 500-sq km of minimum 3-dimensional seismic data and a full 800-sq km of minimum 2-dimensional seismic data.
