Month of Muharram has begun in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The year 1441 ends in the Hijri-Lunar calendar, the beginning of 1142 –the first day of Muharram coincides with August 21, 2020, in the Gregorian calendar.
The 10th day of Muharram month- Ashura Day coincides with August 30.
Arbaeen will be on October 8.
Safar month will start on September 19 and will end on October 17.
The appeal of the Cadi Council of Caucasian Muslims Office notes that according to the decision of the Task Force on the coronavirus pandemic mourning ceremonies will not be held in mosques and shrines in Muharram.
Due to the pandemic, it is recommended to donate blood not in the mosques this year, but in branches of Blood Bank in the capital and in the regions.
