901 candidates have applied in order to participate in early parliamentary elections scheduled on February 9 in Azerbaijan, so far,” chairman of Committee Mazahir Panahov said at Central Election Committee’s meeting held today, APA reports.
He stated that 149 people of candidates have been put forward by 11 political parties. 5 people have been put forward by initiative groups, while 752 people put forward their candidacy individually.
Chairman of CEC noted that the nomination of 569 people of those who applied has been already approved, 439 of them has already taken their signature sheets.
