The inquiry of President of Azerbaijan Republic regarding the compliance of the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament with the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic has been considered at the plenary session of the Constitution Court, APA reports.
The Constitution Court has adopted a decision confirming the compliance of the dissolution of Azerbaijani Parliament with the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic.
The decision reads that “The Decision dated 2 December 2019 of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic “About the procedure of appealing to President of Azerbaijan Republic in regard with calling of early election to Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic” shall be considered as compliant with 1st part of clause 981 of Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic. The dissolution of Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic by President of Azerbaijan Republic based on the Decision dated 2 December 2019 of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic “About the procedure of appealing to President of Azerbaijan Republic in regard with calling of early election to Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic” shall be considered as compliant with clause 981 of Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic. The Decision shall become valid since the moment of its announcement and can’t be annulled, changed or officially interpreted by any entity or individual. Thus, the plenary meeting of the Constitution Court was announced as closed.
