# 17 April 2020 13:01 (UTC +04:00)

The plenary meetings of the Azerbaijani Parliament will be held through videoconference system, APA reports.

This has been reflected in the proposed change to the “Internal Statutes of the Parliament of the Azerbaijani Republic” brought up for discussion in the third reading at the plenary meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament held today.

Based on the draft law, in connection with the implementation of the quarantine regime until December 30 of this year, and sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament will adopt an order about holding of the meetings of the Azerbaijani Parliament, as well as the meetings of committees and commissions of the Azerbaijani Parliament in the real time mode, through videoconference system during certain period of time in response to the demand of 42 deputies. At the meetings held through videoconference system, along with voting, the registration will also be implemented by means of the deputies’ strengthened electronic signatures. The change will give to the Azerbaijani Parliament the opportunity to choose among several options so that along with internet-facilitated meetings, the virtual meetings could be realized by using intranet network (domestic) and local networks.

The draft law was put to vote and was adopted.
