There have been some positive trends in the culture of political struggle in Azerbaijan over the past 15 years, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during his inauguration ceremony on April 18, APA reports.
“The candidates were explicitly critical in their speeches, which I appreciate. I think of it as a positive case,” the head of state said.
The president noted that there have been some positive trends in political culture in Azerbaijan over the past 15 years.
The pre-election campaign demonstrated this once again, added President Aliyev.
“The candidates were often explicitly critical in their speeches, which I appreciate. I think of it as a positive case. This is indicative of the political struggle developing in the right direction. The issues raised by the candidates during the election will be carefully considered. Valuable proposals will be taken into account,” he said.
