“Azerbaijan's purpose is not only to supply itself with energy, but it conducts an energy security policy of region and continent of Europe,” said Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy at the panel “The role of new energy and transportation corridors in the Eurasian zone” within the framework of the X Global Baku Forum on "The World Today: Challenges and Hopes" organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, APA reports.
Parviz Shahbazov stressed that President Ilham Aliyev has disclosed his view on energy at the opening ceremony of the Forum yesterday. “Safe supply of energy resources is very significant. Sometimes infrastructure itself doesn’t help. That’s why Azerbaijan tries to diversify its energy corridors and shows the necessary attempt for the implementation of these projects. Today’s geopolitical situation also affects energy corridors.”
Minister of Energy noted that Azerbaijan plans to launch Azerbaijan Khazar-Europe green energy: “Purpose is to deliver green energy of Azerbaijan to Europe. This issue is on the agenda.”
