The number of registered coronavirus cases in Belgium climbed by 16,915 over the past 24 hours to reach a total of 429,229, data from the national public health institute Sciensano showed. The figure is down from the previous day's increase in infections of 20,056, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Meanwhile, the country's COVID-19 death toll climbed by 173 to 11,625.
Belgium announced on Friday new measures that include contacts between households to be limited to one person while only four people will be able to meet outside.
