The Russian delegation has arrived in Ankara in regard with Idlib issue, APA’s local bureau reports citing Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation coming from Russia will meet with Turkish diplomats, and will hold discussions regarding the Sochi agreement related to Syria topic, and especially the territory of Idlib.

Note that on February 3, Assad’s army violating conditions of Sochi agreement opened fires from main guns to the observation posts of Turkish Armed Forces deployed in Idlib and as a result, 8 servicemen of Turkish army were martyred.

After this incident the telephone conversations took place at the level of presidents, as well as ministers of foreign affairs of Turkey and Russia. The leaders of the two countries also discussed the activation of the terrorist groups on that territory.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said if the attack on Turkish soldiers in Syria is repeated, Ankara will defend itself.

After joint discussions of Turkish and Russian diplomats Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin are expected to meet again in regard to this issue.
